The home features a first-floor open concept with vaulted ceiling, skylight, bay window, and Door County stone natural gas fireplace. The brand-new kitchen is lined with a wall of windows above the classy Blue Bahia granite countertops facing the Lake. Elegant new white custom cabinets with all new appliances make the fully stocked kitchen convenient and elegant. The first-floor great room contains a sizable table facing the Lake and a comfortable sitting area near the fireplace with updated nautical decorum and views of the lake from any seat in the great room. The first floor also offers a nautical bedroom with bay window seating and adjacent full bath with tub and shower. Also enjoy the large-screen television near the fireplace, handy mudroom, laundry closet, and an assortment of family games for your convenience.
The glamorous second floor features a sizable guest bedroom with vaulted ceiling and vintage paddle style headboard with views to the forest and the adjacent stream. The luxurious master bedroom features a top-quality King bed, elegant furniture, and breath-taking views of Lake Michigan via a wall of windows. You can also walk out on the brand new Trex private second-floor master deck to enjoy views of the lake, listen to the water, and take in the fresh air. The master suite bathroom features all marble tile, double sinks, views of the lake, and spa-like large shower with overhead spray and multiple body jets. All beds are new and feature the highest quality mattresses and bedding.
Outside, enjoy the brand-new trex screened porch facing Lake Michigan, nestle by a cozy fire in the shorefront stone fire-ring, or explore the adjacent shoreline path over the quaint bridge on the gentle stream feeding into the Lake. We are a short distance of Sand Bay Park which features a beautiful Sandy beach, changing rooms, picnic tables and barbecues, as well as a play area for children. The view across our bay is of Newport State Park and you will find our location to be a very private part of Door County off the beaten path, but very close to all the Door County attractions.
We are a 5-minute drive to Ellison Bay, where there is the Pioneer Grocery, the Clearing retreat center, a town park featuring public beach and tennis courts, as well as a boat launch into Green Bay. We are close to Newport State Park and to the tip of Door County, where the ferry departs for Washington Island. We are only a 7-minute drive to Sister Bay, with many restaurants, clothing and gift shops, and lakefront with beach and boat rentals. We are a 3-mile hike or a short ride to Rowley Bay Resort, which features kayak rentals, a boat launch into Lake Michigan, access to the Mink River Estuary, and Grandma’s Bakery, offering delicious cinnamon rolls.
In summary, Lakeview Lodge offers a private and elegant nautical experience on the shore of Lake Michigan in a completely updated home, with acreage to explore, natural beauty, and convenient access to all that Door County has to offer.
