Description

Relax and enjoy your vacation at this newly remodeled home on your own private 2 acres and 200′ of pristine Lake Michigan shoreline This Cape Cod style home has a coastal cottage feel with hardwood floors, painted woodwork, granite countertops and tall vaulted ceiling.

We have just installed Premier One Air purifier system to the HVAC system. It is a germicidal air purifier that uses ultra violet light.

The exterior is all cedar including the large relaxing deck overlooking Lake Michigan. Majestic Cedars, Hemlocks, and Maples tower around the home.

The shoreline boasts a great view and has fire pit for relaxing evenings.

You can take in the beautiful views from the large wrap around deck or stroll down to the water’s edge where we have additional seating and table. Relax and enjoy your morning coffee with gorgeous sunrises. Then finish your day off with your favorite beverage and take in the reflective sunsets.

You can go for long walks down the private drive and nearby nature preserve. View the abundant wild flowers and beautiful woods. Watch for various wildlife such as deer, turkey, wood chucks, eagles, swans, pelicans and many more local creatures. Walk a little further and explore the Heins Creek Nature Preserve, with it’s winding creek that flows between Kangaroo Lake and Lake Michigan. In the spring and fall you can often watch trout and salmon spawning in the shallow stream. Link. https://www.doorcountylandtrust.org/heins-creek-nature-preserve/

You can enjoy gathering around the fire pit by the shoreline for roasting marshmallows and telling your favorite stories beneath the bright starry sky.

The location is perfect; not in the middle of the noisy busy part of the county, yet centrally located and close enough to get most places in under 10 minutes.

Enjoy the abundant recreation of Door County such as; winery tours, golf, kayaking, zip lining canopy tours, Cana Island light house tours, performing arts, galleries, world class salmon and walleye fishing, hiking, wind surfing, sailing, diving on shipwrecks, romantic sunsets, and ongoing festivals. There are also endless dining opportunities to experience.

A great place in Baileys Harbor to check out is Lake Shore Adventures. They have glass bottom kayak tours of ship wrecks, Salmon fishing charters, zip lining canopy tours at Ridges Sanctuary, and lots of rentals (kayaks, jet skis, bikes, pontoon boats). Their office is located in downtown Baileys Harbor and they have a great website.

You’ll find yourself relaxed and very comfortable in this home away from home without breaking the bank.
