What a great vacation home! Perfect open concept for our grandkids. We loved exploring in the “jungle” – even saw a deer. Beautiful and serene setting. We pick a different vacation destination every year and this was one of our best. Loved the house and all it has to offer. Thanks for opening your home to us.
Thank you so much for welcoming us to your home! We created many new memories and shared many new “firsts” here. First golf trips for the kids, first trip to Washington Island for all of us, and a first birthday for the youngest of the group! This house will hold a special place in our hearts and in our memories. Thank you for being part of it!
We had an amazing time staying at Hoffmans Up North! So comfortable, and warm. Your home is beautiful, and the kitchen is well stocked with every cooking utensil. We even made cookies! It was a perfect home base for exploring the State Parks, riding the Ferry, and experiencing the best of the Peninsula. The extraordinary peace and quiet were good for the soul. We had a great time grilling (nice Weber!), cooking, playing games, and spending family time together. Thanks for everything!
What a perfect location for a relaxing retreat! The home offered all the comforts of home and is so cozy and charming. We had great weather all week, so we went biking through Peninsula State Park, went on a pontoon boat ride, took the ferry to Washington Island, and enjoyed some amazing hikes. The deck was a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast and coffee and watch the curious hummingbirds. Thank you for an awesome getaway!
Our children rented this beautiful home which easily accommodated 8 adults and one infant. This beautiful home is very roomy. We appreciated the convenient location too. It was a 5-minute drive to the Washington Ferry, and 15 minutes to get pizza our last night, which we brought back to eat outside. The beaches are very kid friendly. Bailey’s Harbor is shallow and warm. On the 4th, we went to Liberty Grove Town Park and our grandchild spent 4-1/2 hours playing in the water. Seaquist Orchards Farm Market is the best place for pies and tart cherries. We were lucky to see all the cherries on the trees too! Uncle Tom’s Newport School Candies was a bit of a disappointment, maybe because they were temporarily set up in the garage because of Covid. Be sure the stay up late enough to see the stars at Newport State Park. Very close by and great star gazing!!! The Milky Way was breathtaking and will hold a special memory. The sunsets are beautiful here.
We really enjoyed our time here in Door County! Thank you very much for opening up your home! We had a great time hiking, tubing, and most especially going to the beach. We have many wonderful memories while staying here! We will definitely come back and stay here again!
